Class V

Music

From the newspaper, Magazine etc. collect pictures of Indian classical singer, dancer, and instrumentalist and prepare a collage.

 OR

 During holidays many classical music programmes are conducted in Delhi. Collect details and prepare a scarp book.

Mathematics

• Learn multiplication tables 2 to 20.

• Practice four fundamental operations (if possible on Abacus). 

• Frame any two word problems using pictures on a chart paper (you can take help from your book).

• Note down your daily routine. Write down the fraction of a day you study, play watch television and sleep.

English

• Read your Rapid Reader and write a small paragraph on any of your favourite character on an A-4 sheet.

         Tales of Arabian Nights

• Vocabulary Sheets

           Select any four new words from the dictionary and write on four A-4 sheets 
           along with their meanings.

Computer 

Activity: Make a drawing on chart or A4 size sheet depicting  “Computers are Man’s Best Friend”.

Value Education

• Read the following verses from the Bible given below. Choose one verse with the help of your parents and practice it throughout your vacation.

• Draw a colorful chart based on that verse.

The Beatitudes

ART AND CRAFT

• Paint a beach scene and Festival scene in colors.

• News paper sculpture birds and animals will be made using wire, newspaper, tissue paper and colors. (size 2’ approx)

• Make a scrap book with illustration describing your visit during your Holidays.

All art and craft students will visit with their parents and friends Dilli Haat or Exhibition/ Museum etc.
