Class VIII

Music

Make any musical poster (dance, instrumental or vocal) on thermacol or any chart sheet.  
                                     OR  

Make a model of any Indian musical instrument.

  •  Read your Rapid Reader and write a small paragraph on any of your favourite character on  A-4 sheet.

  • Vocabulary Sheets : Select any four new words from the dictionary and write their  meanings on four A-4 sheets along with their usage.

  • Write articles, stories, anecdotes and poems on the topic Journey

 

Mathematics

  • Make power point presentation on any one topic of class 8. Also give the information on any one Mathematician related to your topic.

  • An activity chart is given below mentioning 10 major activities that you will do during your summer vacation. 
    Studying
    Playing indoor/Outdoor games
    Helping your parents
    Watching TV or doing something for entertainment
    Cleaning of your Room
    Visit to local market
    Visit to relatives or other places
    Sleeping
    Eating Food
    Any other work
    Make 30 columns along with this activity chart 30 days
    For each day record the time (in minute or hour) you spent on each individual activity. 
    At the end of 30th Day add the entries for each activity
    Make a bar graph form the above observations with activities mention on X-axis and total time spent on y-axis.
    Comment on the result of bar graph.

  • Visit a Govt. Bank and Private bank and collect the information about different types of accounts and savings schemes. Compare the interest rates given by both types of banks on different accounts . Suppose you have Rs. 10,000 to deposit in a bank for 5 years
    Which account would you prefer in which bank?
    Estimate the interest you will receive on it after 5 years?
    Calculate the compound interest on your sum and prepare the results.

The Beatitudes
